The MIT Center for Sports Innovation and iClub invited David Ostrow, CEO of Body Balance for Performance to present research on the body and the golf swing at the second annual Better Golf Thru Technology Conference.

The purpose of this study was to scientifically explore whether certain swing flaws are linked to body issues. All of the data for this study collected at Body Balance for Performance centers around the country. The study was conducted through the week of February 15, 2007, in order to create a large enough sample size to draw meaningful conclusions from

Ostrow said about speaking at the conference“ We are proud to be apart of the Better Golf Thru Technology Conference. We hope that our research on the Correlation of Swing Flaws and Body Issues will give the golf industry a better understanding how the body’s limitations can effect the swing. It is our goal as a company to continue to educate golfers on these imbalances and to help them become more consistent, gain distance, and play pain free.”

Ostrow's thoughts on the study presented at the symposium, "
We picked out details on the hamstrings and set-up posture, and found strong positive correlations between hamstring range of motion and spine angle at set up.  The crowd, consisting mostly of Top 100 golf instructors were completely astounded and accepting of this relationship. This had great impact on many in attendance, based on the feedback."
